Radio communication
Purpose of "MiniCom-DECT-DMC"
Microcellular communication system "MiniCom-DECT-DMC" allows new organization of communication in an enterprise and to make the workflow more dynamic and efficient. Today, the system equipment is successfully used in railway stations, factories, offices, companies, seaports, hospitals, airports, elevators, stations, customs terminals, warehouses, hotels and holiday homes. This is just a small list of sites where this reliable communication technology is used.
Doubtless advantage of DECT technology is digital signal broadcast with excellent voice quality, high protection against eavesdropping and the emergence of double radio. Low-power mobile phones (10 mW) provide users with high environmental safety. For businesses that would like to host a microcellular communications, DECT standard is attractive by the fact that it requires no complicated procedures for obtaining frequency permits.
Microcellular communication system "MiniCom-DECT-DMC", as part of PABX, makes mobile communications free of charge for its subscribers.
Microcellular system "MiniCom-DECT-DMC" is designed to ensure effective exchange of information; reduces unproductive expenditures of time and allows to take a fresh view at the organization of production processes in your company; makes them more flexible, more adaptable to new economic conditions.
Subscriber access equipment of DECT standard (base radio unit "MiniCom-DECT-DWLL-200") and microcellular radio equipment of DECT standard is shared in the diagram below.
"MiniCom-DECT-DMC" creates a network of radio communications, covering the territory of the whole enterprise. This network consists of several radio zones, overlapping each other. Radio zones are formed by base stations designed for connections to wireless telephone units.
"MiniCom-DECT-DMC" itself determines the location of the called subscriber, and sends it a city or internal call. If during a call there is the need to move from one end of an enterprise to another, you can do it without interrupting the conversation and not noticing leaving the range of one base station to another. The system automatically keeps track of the necessary connections ("handover" function).
When building a distributed network based on "MiniCom-DECT-DMC", there is the opportunity of mobility DECT-subscribers throughout the network deployment ("roaming" and "handover" functions).
Composition of the system of microcellular communication
Micro communication system "MiniCom-DECT-DMC" includes:
· Base equipment: base station controller (BSC) "MiniCom DMC-CS", base station (BS) "MiniCom DMC-BS", antenna-feeder devices, DECT-repeater "MiniCom - Repeater", heating cabinets (HC) "MiniCom DMC -TSH-48", operator workstation (OWS).
· Subscriber equipment: mobile radio telephones, terminal subscriber radio units (TSRU) "MiniCom DT-20", subscriber antenna.
Basic equipment
Base station controller (BSC)
Base station controller "MiniCom DMC-CS-1U" is intended to control microcellular communication system.
Structurally, it is a card that is installed in a standard 19" enclosure with height of 1 unit or placed vertically in a 19" cassette, which height is 4 units. BSC is connected to the PABX via E-DSS1, 2VSK (R1, 5), v 5.2 protocols.
Using the digital transport network, the BSC may be removed from the station for a considerable distance. At an enterprise the BSC is able to perform the functions of PABX.
There is a possibility of building multi-zone systems by combining multiple BSC in a single network.
Base station (BS)
BS provides radio zones and data exchange with mobile handsets. Base stations "MiniCom DMC-BS" are connected to the controller with 4-pair cable via E1 interface. Removing BS from the controller is up to 500 m. For the removal of base stations for long-distance digital transport networks or physical lines are used. To install at the outdoor, the base station is placed in a special heating cabinet "MiniCom DMC-TSH-48", which provides operation within temperature range of -50°C to +40°C.
Each base station can keep up to 12 simultaneous calls which ensure high density of subscribers in range of a base station. The use of different types of antennas optimizes the number of base stations required for reliable communications throughout an enterprise.
Experience in operating deployed microcellular radio systems when one spatial sector employs several base stations, showed: providing reliable synchronization of BS - the most important condition, this largely depends on high-quality work of the whole system. Developers of "MiniCom-DECT" gave this issue more attention. Synchronization is carried out in two ways. The base station using a dedicated pair can "grab" synchronization from the controller or DECT, or from the other "leading" base station.
Operator workstation (OWS)
OWS is used to provide the operator to configure, manage, and diagnose the system. It is possible to control the system remotely via IP-based network via an interface converter RS-232 with TCP / IP protocol or Dial-Up-modem.
The operator can:
· monitor base and subscriber equipment;
· subscribe (remove) subscribers within the system;
· automatic inquiry of devices in the system;
· receive the signals of emergency situations in the system;
· upgrade the system software.
The software registers, stores and sorts the following information:
· date and time of call;
· duration of call;
· incoming, outgoing calls;
· load on the base station;
· load on the system as a whole;
· status of each base station.
Subscriber equipment
Mobile radio telephones
Microcellular communication system "MiniCom-DECT-DMC" supports GAP profile, which allows to use the equipment of different manufacturers. Therefore, using "MiniCom-DECT-DMC" you will be able to use the phones of different brands, the most suitable to you with respect to functionality and cost.
Terminal subscriber radio unit (TSRU)
TSRU "MiniCom DT-20" is designed to provide radio access to telephone and IP network. Within the system of microcellular communication of DECT standard TSRU allows to organize high-quality telephone connection without the cable for fixed-line subscribers. TSRU "MiniCom DT-20" connects telephones, fax machines of different types and manufacturers, and via Dial-Up-modem - computer.
A distinctive feature and added convenience for users is "MiniCom DT-20" built-in uninterruptible power supply, able to keep TSRU operating in case of power failure.
Antenna - feeder devices
Depending on the conditions and requirements of a particular project, the microcellular communication system "MiniCom-DECT-DMC" allows the use of different types of antenna-feeder devices, which provides a selection of the best technical solutions and provides an additional economic benefit.
Typical projects using the system
Purpose of "MiniCom-DECT-DMC"
Microcellular communication system "MiniCom-DECT-DMC" allows new organization of communication in an enterprise and to make the workflow more dynamic and efficient. Today, the system equipment is successfully used in railway stations, factories, offices, companies, seaports, hospitals, airports, elevators, stations, customs terminals, warehouses, hotels and holiday homes.
To provide the employees in your organization with high-quality mobile radio communication, "MiniCom-DECT-DMC" is perfect, built on the basis of the base station controller (BSC) "MiniCom - DMC-CS-1U". BSC can connect up to eight base stations that provide communication to a few hundreds of mobile subscribers across the enterprise. To work outdoors, in varying weather conditions, the base station is installed in a special heating cabinet, which allows them to operate in a temperature range from -50°C to +40°C. Rapid deployment of the system in office or on premises, cost savings on cabling for wired phones and repair of the premises is an advantage of this configuration.
To create high-capacity systems, a special cassette is used, which is installed in a 19" rack with CPU modules and E1 interface module. One "basket" can place up to 6 BSCs, allowing to support up to 72 base stations. If it is necessary to create distributed systems of even larger scale, several special interconnected "baskets" are used.
One of the technical capabilities of digital system "MiniCom DX-500" is the merge of several stations in a single telecommunications network. Removed stations, from the point of view of the internal architecture, are combined with a unified telecommunications network with a single numbering field and uniform services. Each microcellular communication system is an element of a whole, and can be managed from one center. Getting in the zone of action of one of the stations in the network, a mobile subscriber does not need any additional registration. The subscriber already has a subscription to this network and continues to use services of multizone system. The combined network will monitor subscriber migration route from one PABX to another radio zones.
